Carly Scanlon is a New Jersey Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. She received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rutgers University and her master’s degree in clinical mental health and counseling from The College of New Jersey. Carly has experience in both intensive outpatient and school settings, providing clinical mental health treatment to children, adolescents, and adults with various mental health concerns.
Carly provides individual counseling to adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem and interpersonal relationship difficulties. She understands individuals seek therapy for various reasons, and her goal is to meet each client where they’re at. She strives to develop a collaborative relationship that enables her clients to feel safe exploring difficult thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that may be getting in the way of their ability to live their most meaningful lives. She works towards creating a space where clients feel comfortable, supported, and respected. Carly offers an integrative approach based on each client’s individual needs. She utilizes modalities such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, along with mindfulness-based practices.
